- • We use -ED adjectives to describe someone’s feelings. Passive Example: subject The film was long, and I was bored.ed (I was affected by the long and boring film. I felt bored of it) • We use –ING adjectives to describe things or people (that cause the feelings). Active Example: subject The film was long, and boringing. (The film had an effect on our feeling which made us feel bored )
- More examples: The news was shocking. She was very shocked when she read the news. Working hard all day is tiring. She felt tired after working hard all day. I am frightened of spiders. Those spiders look frightening.
- 2. Complete the table with the -ed and –ing forms of the adjectives. - 4.a. Work in pairs. Look at the questions below. Tell your partner how you felt, using -ed adjectives. Example: 1. I felt worried. - 4.b. Now use -ing adjectives to describe these things and experiences in your life. Example: 1. The last film I saw was called Norwegian Wood.
